When the furnace quits or a pipe bursts, homeowners grab their phone and call one of the first names on Google Maps. We check your Google listing and your website the way a homeowner (and Google) sees them, then tell you exactly what to fix to move up. Plain English, no jargon, no sales call.
#7 is just an example. Your free check shows where you actually stand.
- Free score out of 100
- Your top 3 problems, and how to fix them
- No Google login, no contract
How it works
No meetings and no contracts. You get a straight answer about what's keeping your phone quiet, and a list you or your office can work through.
Tell us who you are
Business name, city, state and trade. That's all we need to find your listing on Google Maps. No passwords, and nobody needs to log in to anything.
Confirm it's you
We show you up to three Google listings that match. Pick yours so we check the right business, not a competitor with a similar name.
We run 13 checks
We look at your Google Business Profile (category, hours, photos, reviews, rating, phone) and your website (does it load, is it secure, does it work on a phone, is it fast, does the title say what you do and where, does the phone number match Google).
You get a score and your top fixes
A score out of 100, where you rank for your trade in your city, and the three things costing you the most. The free result shows on screen and we email you a copy.

For $97, one time, you get every check ranked in the order to fix it, step-by-step instructions, and the names of the businesses showing up ahead of you. It's emailed within 24 hours, usually within minutes.

What we check, and why it matters for calls
These are the things that decide who shows up first when someone searches “furnace repair near me” or “emergency plumber.” Each one is something you can fix.
Google category
Your main category tells Google what you do. If it says “Contractor” instead of “HVAC contractor” or “Plumber,” you can miss searches for your own trade.
Business hours
Listings without hours look closed. If you take nights, weekends or emergency calls and your hours don't show it, a homeowner at 9 p.m. calls someone else.
Photos
Real photos of your trucks, crew and finished jobs show a homeowner you're a real, working outfit. A listing with no photos looks abandoned.
Number of reviews
People compare review counts at a glance. A thin review count next to a competitor's long list is often the reason they scroll past you.
Star rating
Your average rating sits right next to your name. Steady new reviews from happy customers, and polite replies to bad ones, move it in the right direction.
Recent reviews
Fresh reviews show you're busy and still doing good work. Google only shares a handful of reviews with us, so we check whether we can confirm a recent one.
Phone number on your listing
On Google Maps, the call button is the whole point. No number on your listing means no tap-to-call.
Website linked
Many homeowners check your website before they call. A listing with no website gives them less reason to trust you.
Website loads
If your site is down or throws an error, people bounce, and Google notices.
Secure website (https)
Without https, browsers can show “Not secure” next to your address. That scares people off.
Works on phones
Emergency calls come from phones. A site that isn't set up for small screens is hard to use when someone's standing in water.
Page speed
A slow homepage loses people who are in a hurry. We time how long it takes to load.
Homepage title
Your page title should say what you do and where, like “Furnace & AC Repair in Columbus, OH.” A title that just says “Home” wastes the spot.
Name, address, phone match
Your website and Google should show the same phone number. Mismatches make Google less sure your listing is right.
Two things we can't see through Google's data, your review replies and your business description, are covered in the full report as owner checks.

No-heat calls go to whoever looks solid on the map
The first cold snap brings furnace calls, and summer brings AC calls. A homeowner without heat usually isn't shopping around for a week. They open Google Maps, look at the first few names, and call.
- Make sure your main category is “HVAC contractor” (or the closest match for your main work), with heating and AC categories added.
- Show emergency or after-hours service in your hours if you offer it.
- Post photos of real installs, service vans and your crew.
- Ask for a review after every furnace or AC job, while the house is warm (or cool) again.
- Name the towns you actually cover in your description and on your website.

Burst pipes and backed-up drains don't wait
Plumbing calls are often emergencies. People search, see a few names on the map, and call the one that looks open, trusted and close by. Your listing has a few seconds to make that case.
- Set your main category to “Plumber” and add the services you really do, like drain cleaning or water heaters.
- If you answer the phone at night or on weekends, make your hours say so.
- Keep the same phone number on Google and your website.
- Add before-and-after photos of real jobs.
- Reply to reviews, good and bad. People read those replies.

Roofers, electricians and other trades
Right now we're focused on HVAC and plumbing because that's where the winter calls are. The same basics apply to every home-service trade, and more trades are coming.

Questions
Do I have to give you my Google login?
No. The free score and the full report use what's publicly visible on Google and your website. You (or your office) make the changes. The report shows you what to change and where.
What do I get for free?
A score out of 100, where you rank for your trade in your city, and your top three problems with how to fix them. It shows on screen and we email you a copy.
What's in the $97 report?
All 13 checks with pass or needs-work results, every fix ranked in the order to do it, step-by-step instructions, the names of the businesses showing up ahead of you for your trade and city, and two owner checks we can't see through Google (review replies and your business description).
How fast do I get the full report?
Within 24 hours of your purchase, by email, usually within minutes. If we miss that, you get a full refund. Once the report is delivered, there are no refunds. Details are in our terms.
Is this a subscription?
No. The full report is $97, one time. Ongoing monitoring is coming later and will always be optional.
Can you guarantee I'll be #1?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Nobody controls Google's rankings. What we can do is show you exactly what's holding your listing back, so you can fix it.
How do you figure out my rank?
We search Google for your trade in your city, like “plumber in Pittsburgh, PA,” and see where your listing lands in the top 20. Results can vary by where the searcher is standing and change over time, so treat it as a snapshot.
Why did the check find the wrong business?
That's why we ask you to confirm. If none of the matches are you, pick “None of these” and try the exact name shown on your Google listing. If you don't have a listing yet, the result tells you how to get one.
Will you change anything on my listing?
No. We only look. You stay in control of your listing and your website.
I'm a roofer, electrician or landscaper. Can I use it?
Right now the check is built for HVAC and plumbing. Other trades are coming.
What happens to my email?
We use it to send your results and, if you buy, your report. We don't sell it. Details are in our privacy policy.
Who's behind List Climbers?
People who spent years generating leads for home-service contractors. Questions? Email [email protected].
